Trading Diary ~ Monday 19th August 2013

07:10am (CET)  ~  After a very relaxing weekend I’m up early and here in the study with a couple of laptops on so I can do some emails and also watch my MT4 charts at the same time.   After lunch I have some friends arriving for a few days so I’m going off to Alicante Airport to pick them up.

08:35am (CET)  ~ There’s a bit going on in the markets this morning, which is slightly unusual as they sometime stake a while to get going after the weekend break. I’ve already got into a ‘short’ trade on my Gold chart and that seems to be doing ok at the moment, and I can also see  possible “trendFX” set-up on the S&P500 chart although there’s a bit of a way to go before it may trigger at the entry level.

17:35pm (CET)  ~ Back here in the kitchen after a long, slow journey back up the AP-7 from Alicante, it’s definitely holiday season down here. I’m not going to spend too much time concentrating on the charts tonight as we have hungry guests, I’ll just watch the S&P500 every so often to see if any quick trade opportunities come up.

Going back to this morning I ended up having two trades, the Gold trade I mentioned above ended up at +45 pips, and the S&P500 trade did finally materialise and that gave me +32 pips.

18:40pm (CET)  ~  I’ve just been stopped out of trade on the S&P500 with a small 16 pip loss. There’s a strategy with my evening system to get back that loss and still end up with the 20 pip target, so I’ll watch the chart for the next ten minutes or so to look for the set-up.

19:50pm (CET)  ~  That’s me done for the evening, I did manage another trade and this position gave me +39 pips, so that’s 23 pips for the evening session and 100 pips for the day.

Daily Target Reached ?  YES  (+100 pips)     I traded this morning plus a few hours this evening
