Trading Diary ~ Friday 8th March 2013
10:15am (CET) ~ There’s no trading for me today – two reasons for that. Firstly I’m away for a short break to attend the Geneva Motor Show and secondly it is the monthly U.S. employment figure announcement (Non-Farm-Payroll) today, so the markets will usually be quite quiet for the first part of the day, and then shoot off with a certain amount of volatility after the numbers are announced. I generally stay away from trading on this day for that reason. Having said that, I have just glanced at a S&P500 chart and I can see that the price has been in a good incline all morning – probably due to the good U.S. Jobless Claims Numbers yesterday.
