Trading Diary – Thursday 16th August 2012

8:10pm ~ I am 4 days into my summer-holiday out here in Australia and this is the first day that I have been able to access any internet – the guy I am renting this house from is not that technically-minded, so it’s taken quite a while to get the problem sorted. I am in the Coogee NSW, and feeling very relieved that I am back in touch with ‘The World’

You’ll be glad to hear the weather here is not much better than the UK – mostly overcast with some rain. We’ve just encountered a horrendous storm which lasted 15 minutes, but luckily all is ok, no apparent damage surprisingly.

It’s currently just past 8pm, and we’re just getting ready to go out for a meal. I will not be doing much TWADJ “evening” trading as it would mean getting up in the middle of the night to watch the S&P500 chart, but I’ll be back in the UK on Bank Holiday Monday (27th Aug) so I may start trading after that, depending on how the market is – it’s notoriously hard to trade during the summer holiday season due to lack of volume in the markets (the major players/institutions are away for most of August) Usually it is best to wait until the beginning of September to start work again.

I will report back at the end of the month once I am back in the UK.
