My Trading Day ~ Thursday 7th July 2011

It was quite a late night – I got back here just after midnight, but I was up fairly early this morning – and installed in my newly refurbished study overlooking the sea at 8am. I did cycle to the paper shop earlier, at 7 o’clock and called in to the bakers on the way back for some hot croissants mmm nice….

Anyway – I had 2 screens on watching 4 charts and just after 8:30 I could see a trade developing on the S&P500 and at 2 minutes past 9 I got into a ‘long’ trade. I was working with a long timeframe, so it was going to be a lengthy trade, so I just concentrated on emails as there was nothing else happening with the charts.  At midday my first trade was doing ok, but no great profits yet, and I could also see a trade coming up on Brent Oil as well. At 12:35 I got into a ‘long’ trade on Brent and had a bit of lunch at the same time. At 1:30pm the S&P gathered momentum and shot off nicely, so I closed it off at +58 pips a few seconds later, and as my 2nd trade (Brent Oil) was also doing well at that moment, I closed that trade off as well (at +30 pips)

The weather was not great outside, but I still went off for a cycle ride for the afternoon – and managed 16 miles in the end.

I got back to the cottage at 5pm and immediately got stuck into watching my chart for the “Evening” system. There was a good trend in place, but it was not until 7pm that a signal came up for me to get in – and within 25 minutes I was out with my normal profit of +20 pips.

It is now 8 o’clock and myself and two friends are off to the Lord Nelson for some supper – very happy with my profits for the day – just over 100 pips !

Daily Target Reached ? YES (+108 pips) I trade this morning and this evening.
