My Trading day ~ Friday 17th June 2011

I was up early again this morning (6 o’clock) as I have much to do today. A few things to sort out finally here this morning, then I am going back to Suffolk before lunch and doing a final training session for the London To Brighton Bike Ride on Sunday.

While sitting here in my study earlier, I was also watching a few charts to see if I could have a trade or two while answering emails and doing some phone calls.  At 7:30am I could see the beginnings of a short trade on my ‘Gold’ chart, and at exactly 8:31am I was in a short trade with the index. Thirteen minutes later I was out of the market with +21 pips, a nice quick profit.

I have another hour or so of bits to do in the study and then I’m off on my favoured Ducati to Southwold for a bit of clean seaside air. As usual I will update this blog later tonight if I have any ‘evening’ trades.

Update 9pm: After a 20 mile cycle this afternoon I did sit down in my kitchen here at the cottage at 5:30pm (a bit later than usual) but I had to wait until around 7:15pm before I could see any suggestion of a trade signal. I was in a short trade at 7:35pm and at 8:35pm I was out with +38 pips. As it is Friday evening, I would usually go out and join the locals in the Lord Nelson, but I have had a couple of early mornings plus a heavier than normal training regime, so I’m off to bed now – and will be up early tomorrow for a final 30 mile cycle in readiness for the London To Brighton Bike Race on Sunday.

Daily Target Reached ?  YES (+59 pips) Today I traded early morning + the evening session
