my trading day ~ tuesday 3rd may 2011

Busy day today ( I was up at 6 o’clock to get ready to leave) – I am moving out of my house in Chelmsford and settling in West London (Kensington)

While been driven earlier this morning up into town, I was watching a couple of charts on my iPad using my  USA Forex system.  Just before 7am I observed a possible trade signal coming together, and a few minutes after 7 o’clock I was in a trade on Cable. It trundled along quite quietly at first but just after 8:30 it really got some speed up and the price dropped like a stone. I came out of the trade at 10:03 as the chart looked like slowing down, and price had just hit a significant level – I managed a profit of +129 pips – pleased with first  day back trading after a month of holidays/days off.

It’s now 2:00pm and the 2 removal lorries have just arrived, so it’s time to get started with moving-in jobs – first thing is getting my 2 studies/offices sorted with all my IT kit.

Update 8:50pm ~ Just closed off my 2nd trade of the evening with my “Trade With A Day Job” system. My first effort was stopped out at minus 16 pips (just after 6pm) but the 2nd trade that kicked off at 8 o’clock gave me +40 pips. I took a screenshot of my chart a few seconds after I closed the trade off, and I have sent it to my customers to show my work for the night.

I am now off to Guy Ritchie’s pub (The Punch Bowl in Mayfair) with a trader friend of mine – (it’s a short taxi ride over on the other side of Hyde Park) and then a bit of supper in Covent Garden.

Daily Target Reached ? YES (+153 pips) Early morning trading plus 24 pips this evening
