I had quite a normal week with regard to my trading – I worked in front of the computer screens for 4 days this week (Mon-Thurs) and managed a total of +168 pips for 4 ‘evening’ sessions plus two daytime ones. I would guess I had a total of around 18 hours of actual screen time, watching for trades – so it works out less than half the time a normal person would spend working in the UK in a week. Working that out has just made me curious, so I just Googled it and according to the BBC website the average hours worked by a normal UK resident (who is not on the dole) is 41.4 hours.

Interestingly, we are one of the longest working populations in Europe (the most is the Bulgarians 41.7hrs – the least is the Belgians 38.8 hrs) and my past week was just 43% of the UK average. So the moral to the story is, slowly give up your day job and learn to trade instead

Next week I must try to reduce this a bit as I do not want to suffer any stress through overwork.
