my trading day ~ wednesday 2nd february 2011

Another early start for me, a trading ‘friend’ of mine (Tim) is coming over today to trade here this morning and then we’re out in London this evening with some other traders for a get together. He is living abroad at the moment, so he’s staying here for a few days, and then off to his girlfriends house in Poole on Thursday morning.  Now I have just written that sentence, I’ve realised that nearly all my friends who are traders are divorced !!  Well 7 out of 11 anyway. Must be a coincidence……

Anyway – I was in the office above the garage by 6:30 and Tim eventually pulled up at 7 o’clock with 4 laptops and a MacDonalds coffee (large)  My 1st signal (with the “Any-Time” system came up just after 7am and I was in a long trade at exactly 7:15. That trade went on ’til just after 8 o’clock and I managed +20 pips from it.   My 2nd signal was at 8:30 and the price hit the entry level within a few seconds, and that went on until it hit is target (+11 pips) at 9:29am.

Tim trades in an entirely different style to me, prefering price-action mainly, and he had similar profits leading up to our break at 10 o’clock. He carried on after  with some more trading, and I got on with some admin work and answering emails.

Not sure whether I will be trading the “Evening” system tonight, it depends what time we catch the train into London. I will report back later.

Update 11:15pm: I did trade my “Evening” system on my NetBook, and I managed +20 pips by the time I came out of the market around 8 o’clock (with just one trade)

My evening was spent at a favourite bar (The Hoxton Pony) and then later on some food at the Cinnamon Club. 12 trader friends attended the evening. Very loud time and some very interesting conversations regarding our work……

Staying in London tonight as I am off to the Holiday & Travel Show at Earls Court tomorrow.

Daily Target Reached ?  YES (+51 pips)
