my trading day ~ wednesday 24th november 2010

Another cold start this morning, so although I had some brilliant resolutions last night at 11pm after a bottle of Cava, I looked out of the french windows this morning at 7am and decidied that my cycle ride would be postponed until later on.

I grabbed some toast and coffee instead and headed off to the study to fire up my computers at 7:15. Not much happening with either of my systems until 8am, and there were some of my charts that were showing signs of similiar trade signals. The EUR/USD, GBP/USD & EUR  looked like they were going off in the same direction, so care must be taken that you only take one of these trades, as if they go wrong, you will be in multiple losing trades, so multiplying your losses.

I took the signal (with the “Any-Time” system) at 8:15 on the EUR/USD, and entered at 8:24 (short) and within 37 minutes I was +71 pips in profit, such was the fast movement downwards of that (and other) FX pairs. I emerged form that trade way ahead of my daily target, so that ended my trading for the day (and week – see next paragraph !!) The rest of the morning was spent answering emails, and sending out my daily trades email. I am just off for some brunch at the sushi bar in town, and will be back this afternoon to start packing for my 2 trips away over the next week + grab a quick cycle ride.

As you are probably aware (you should be) the yanks have their upcoming ThanksGiving Day holiday tomorrow, so trading over the water virtually all but stops until next week. Wall St. is closed tomorrow, and they are having a half day on Friday.  An American friend of mine is holding ThanksGiving Day celebrations for a group of us at his villa in Puerto Pollensa (Mallorca) so I am flying out there later today. Upon my return on Friday, I am then off to Blackpool for 4 days as my girlfriend is competing in a national dancing championships at the Tower ballroom, so I will be trading next on Tuesday 30th Nov.

I am not sure if I am trading this evening, as I am being picked up at 4pm to go to Stansted Airport, but I will have my net-book with me, so I may do a bit of work - depends on how long I spend in the airside bar  :-)

I hope you all have a nice few days break from trading….
