easter monday ~ 5th april 2010

Another day off  from the markets today as it is Easter Monday here in the UK, although bizarrely I did earn quite a bit of money today from a weird situation and a spread betting platform. Let me explain.

I was at a friends house at lunchtime for a bite to eat (and too much wine) and we were talking about out respective ways of earning out weekly wages, and more specifically – how long it takes, and what hours we have to keep.   Anyway, to cut a long story short, he bet me £20 that I couldn’t find something profitable to trade by turning on the computer and watching one chosen chart for just one hour. I chose my favourite FX pair of course,  the EURO/U.S. DOLLAR.

I usually trade 15 minute and 1hr charts, but I also looked at 5 and 10 minute ones as well – and luckily just on 1pm I had a signal for a long (up) trade, and 13 minutes later I had closed the trade off at + 13 pips in my favour.

Anyway – I hope your Easter Weekend has gone to plan and has been a success.  I am looking forward to a profitable week on the markets, and also to a few more of you joining me and earning some extra part-time money.
