my trading day ~ thursday 7th january 2010

Hello to you all – still snowed under here. I hope where you are is ok.

My plan today is to trade my new USA Forex Trend Following System, instead of the usual Any-Time system, so after a short brisk walk (snow too deep for a cycle ride) I was in front of the computers at 8am. The plan is to watch 3 particular Forex pairs – Euro/Dollar, Euro/Yen and the U.S. Dollar/Canadian Dollar.

My first trade signal came along at 8:30am on the Euro/Dollar and gave me +15 pips to start the day off with. The 2nd trade was a minute after midday (Euro/Yen) and ended at +10 pips. The US Dollar/Canadian Dollar FX pair has been very ‘jumpy’ this morning so I have abandoned watching that one. This happens from time to time – it’s just part of trading. The 3rd trade was signalled at 2:20pm (Euro/yen) but after an initial spurt up, it started to stall and lose its momentum, so I closed the trade off at -2 pips. Just before this occurred, I had my 4th trade with a signal that popped up on the Euro/Dollar and gave me +20 pips, a much better proposition than the previous one!  My 5th (and final) trade came along at 4:45pm (Euro/Yen) and ended the session with a profit of +15 pips, bringing my final score to +58 pips.

At 5pm I added the chart for my evening Trade With A Day Job system to my screens and I had a trade signal at 5:10pm which gave me the usual +20 pips.

So, my total profit for the day came to +78 pips. A nice days trading !
