My Trading Day ~ Tuesday 8th Sept. ’09

Good morning to you all.

Well yesterday (Tuesday) was a much nicer day on the markets – with some welcome and much needed volume after the traditional lull in August due to many of the large stock-market   ‘players’  taking their annual holidays.

Following a quick cycle ride for some much needed exercise, I was installed in front of the screens by 7am waiting for my first trade on my ‘Any-Time’ system. The first trade came along at 7:25 precisely on the trusty S&P (+8 pips profit) and another 7 trades  were completed before an hour long lunch break (and another cycle ride). The afternoon session provided another 3 trades and a grand total of +85 Pips with just 2 losing trades in amongst them.

There was no trades for the evening session with my ‘Trade With a Day Job’ system, and a detailed explanation has been emailed to all purchasers of that strategy, so the daily profit total remains at +85 pips  (£425 profit at only £5 per pip and tax free if you’re in the UK)

One thing that I am asked time and time again is how do I cope with the many hours sitting in front of the computer – well, obviously I find that the time goes very quickly – but you do have to some sort of fitness regime – as well as frequent breaks (every 30 mins) – so I do go out at least once a day (often twice) for a 4 or 5 mile bike ride. I find that when I return, I am re-invigorated for the next few hours of ‘work’ and keeps the beer belly at bay as well. I know of one trader who has an exercise bike in his study and will have 15 minute periods cycling away while watching his charts. Whatever works for you ….
