My Trading Day ~ Thursday 3rd September

Another relatively early start to my ‘working’ day, as I had an afternoon of  relaxation/fun/danger organised with some fellow financial traders. All work and no play makes Nick a dull boy.

So, a quick coffee in the garden at 6am and then in front of the screens 10 mins later, setting the charts up on my 3 screens and looking for any news announcements which may affect the markets this morning. The first trade with my ‘Any-Time’ System was signalled at 6:31 (Euro/Yen) which started a run of 7 successful trades for the morning (with no losses). I packed up for the day at just after 2pm with a grand total of 70 pips and a weekly score of 324 for a very short working week so far (in terms of hours spent in front of the computers)

I was not at home for the evening session, but looking this morning at the chart I use for my ‘Trade With a Day Job’ strategy – I can see that the normal 20 pips was obtained.

I remember in my early days of trading, I was up early every day, watching the screens from 6am or so, and still there at 8pm, but as the years have passed, I have come to realise that there is a lot more to life than working all the hours you can – you need to spend time with your family and friends, and also cultivate hobbies and pastimes. Financial trading (from home) allows you to organise your life with a proper balance to it, so when you are in front of the screens you are happy and relaxed, safe in the knowledge that you can have a short working day whenever you wish, without having a boss to answer to.

Be careful today when trading around lunchtime today (Friday) as we have Non Farm Payroll announcements out at 1:30pm (GMT) – you can see details here . I usually do not trade on the first Friday of the month as the markets can be slightly unpredictable, but my working hours this week have been quite low, so I am treading carefully today, but will trade most of the time (except for the lunchtime)

I hope you all have a profitable day on the markets. If you don’t, email me and I’ll show you a way :-)
