My Trading Day ~ Monday 13th July

Good afternoon – sorry for the delay in posting my ramblings today, but I have been locked out of the blog today for some reason. I would have said earlier that there is no significant economic news data being released today, so you can be in the markets for most of the day. I still try to avoid the opening of the New York session – and just sit on the sidelines and wait for a direction to emerge, especially if the candles on the charts are of an unusually long length.

We had an initial sell-off on the FTSE early this morning (on the futures market) but as soon as the London session opened at 8am -  it shot skywards (+80 points) and hasn’t really stopped all morning. Let’s see what happens when Wall Street opens !!

Back to last Friday – I traded the ‘Any-Time’ system for just the morning and achieved 14 pips (customers who received my Trading Sheet this morning will notice I have forgotten to put one of the trades on as I traded it using CMC markets instead of the usual company – sorry)  There was the usual 20 points on the  ‘Trade With a day Job’ evening strategy.

On a lighter note – it’s nice to see we have a successor to Evel Knievel’s crown – and he’s quite young, so hopefully he will keep going for a few years yet.

I hope you all have a profitable end to your day……..
