My Trading Day

Welcome back to my blog on this misty Wednesday – although the weather forecast on Sky News just now promises 30 degrees in London later this morning.

As I’ve mentioned previously, the idea behind this blog is firstly, to tell you about ‘My Trading Day’ and how the 2 trading systems that I trade are performing, and secondly, to let you know of any interesting news that may affect the market during the coming day.

As many of you know, various governments across the world release economic statistics into the market at pre-defined times of the week/month, and if you like a ‘quiet, unstressed trading  life’ it is best if you are not involved in a trade – and are completely out of the market when these news announcements are released. I will – every day – let you know the times of the more important announcements, so that you are pre-warned, and you don’t get caught up in volatile market movements. The Dow Jones 30 Index has been known to move 150 points in a matter of seconds when important economic news has been announced.

So -the time to be out of the market today is just before 3pm (GMT) as the ISM Manufacturing Survey results are  announced in the U.S.

Nice news story of the day is where a 72 yr old pensioner punched a burglar to the floor when he broke into his house. Frank – the ex-boxer was quoted later -”I just punched him as hard as I could and he went down like a sack of spuds. If you can’t defend what’s yours, where are we at?” See a picture of the burglar after he met Frank – and read the full article.

Well – I have been working away over the past week – completing my new trading manual, and I am happy to announce that it was completed late last night, and will be ready for sale at sometime this morning. It is a trading strategy that enables you to trade at any time of the day or night, so you are not constrained by market hours – and you can also fit your trading around existing work commitments or family responsibilities. If you would like more details of this new system, or indeed my other one – ‘Trade With a Day Job’  visit my manuals page.

Due to this unusual and additional work load recently, I have not been trading full-time, but normal service will be resumed tomorrow, so you will be able to read about what on earth I do all day while sitting in front of my screens, watching for trade signals on the various instruments/indexes etc. that I trade.
