10:15am ~ I was due to fly off for a long weekend break in Le Touquet this morning with a bunch of other traders, but problems with my Outlook email software means I’ll be staying here to try to sort it out. Hopefully I can get out there before the end of the day.
The S&P500 has had some big moves down over the past week, but the daily candles this morning are sitting right on a big support level, so we may get a slight rise in the price for the end of the week.
12:20pm ~ I’ve been pottering around the cottage this morning clearing up and doing a bit of decorating after the builders left yesterday – and I’ve also had a couple of trades during the morning. My first trade kicked off just after 8:30am on GOLD and an hour later while that position was doing ok, I had another signal on my Brent Oil chart. Both positions did ok and I came out of both trades a few minutes ago with profits of +104 pips (Brent) and +211 pips on the Gold one. This afternoon we’re off to Clacton Aerodrome to see a friend’ s new plane.
19:45pm ~ Just a quick post this evening to say I had just one “evening” trade on the S&P500, which I’ve just come out of. I managed +55 pips and that’s taken my monthly total up to over 2,200 pips.

11:05am ~ I went out for an early walk this morning along the beach then over the river across to Walberswick beach – and got back here half an hour ago. I’m going to do a bit of trading while sitting here in the study doing some admin work and I can see a potential trade already on my EUR/USD chart. Apart from that there’s not much happening in the markets – so I’ll report back later when things hopefully liven up.
13:05pm ~ That’s me done for the morning, I’m off for lunch now at the Swan with some friends. The possible trade on the EUR/USD did materialise earlier, and I came out a short while ago with a small profit of +31 pips.
15:10pm ~ I’m back from lunch and as soon as I sat down here in the kitchen and switched my MT4 charts on I had an immediate trade entry on the S&P500 chart. I’m working on a one hour chart as I also want to help the builders who are up on the roof putting in a new skylight. Trading on longer-term charts means I do not have to sit and watch the screen non-stop, I can just come down and look at my position every so often.
20:20pm ~ That’s the end to a busy evening’s trading. As well as the S&P500 trade I mentioned earlier I had two “Trade With A Day Job” trades as well. The S&P trade on the 1hr chart that kicked off mid-afternoon came in at +102 pips and the two subsequent “evening” trades had a loser (-21) and a winner (+46) so overall the three trades gave me a profit of +127 pips. I lost a coin-toss earlier so I’m having to buy all the builders supper at the Lord Nelson…..

9:35am ~ I have some errands to do in town this morning, then it’s up to Suffolk for a few days to the cottage after lunch. I’ll report back later with any trades I do as I’ll be sitting down in front of my charts late afternoon.
16:35pm ~ I sat down here in the kitchen 20 minutes ago and switched on my MT4 charts on to look for any trade opportunities – and a few minutes ago I entered a ‘long’ position on the S&P500 (using a strategy from the trendFX collection). I’m not at break-even yet as the price is still wavering around the entry level, but I’ll report back later with an update, and let you know about any other trades I find.
18:40pm ~ I’ve had two trades this evening, my earlier trendFX trade managed +63 pips, and I also had a subsequent “Trade With A Day Job” evening system trade that I’ve just come out of, came out at +28 pips. Time for a few beers at the Lord Nelson now, not been up there for a few weeks.

8:35am ~ Pleased to see the weather in the UK has improved since I was here last – and I will take advantage of it later by going for a cycle ride out along the Chelmer River tow-path towards Heybridge Basin.
Before that I have some admin to do here in my study plus a bit of trading – I’ve just entered a ‘short’ trade on GOLD using my trendFX ”Extra” strategy, and at the moment the price is going down ok. I will report back later today with the result of this position.
11:25am ~ I have just come out of my GOLD position, and I am pleased to announce that I managed +523 pips after the price absolutely tanked during the morning session. The signals from my strategy are showing further falls for GOLD, but I’m closing off my computers now as two friends have arrived for our cycle ride. It looks as though the precious metal has fallen in value due to worries over China’s slowing economic growth figures, and probably the U.S. retails sales numbers from last week. The price now is near February 2011 values according to my charts.

9:35am (CET) ~ Just got into my study to do a bit of admin, emails and Skype calls for a few hours – then after lunch it’s off to Alicante Airport for a flight back to the UK for a week or so (depending on weather over there of course) I’ll also watch my charts to see if we can do some trading I leave.
14:25pm (CET) ~ I have just come out of a GOLD ’short’ trade that I got into at 11am, the price came down as my trendFX strategy 3 suggested it may, and I’ve just come out of the market with a profit of +252 pips, which is a nice end to a week’s trading, I have managed a total profit for the week of +393 pips and my monthly total for April stands at +1,108 pips. Off to the airport now.

11:55am (10:55am UK time) ~ I was up and about relatively late today after getting back here at 2am this morning – we went off to a neighbours for supper and a card evening last night. I got into my study here an hour ago to do some emails and also watch a few charts before lunch to see if I can spot any trade opportunities.
Not long ago I got into a ‘long’ position on my EUR/USD chart and at the moment it’s showing a very small profit, so I will report back later with an update.
21:55pm ~ I sat down here at 6pm to watch for trades with my “evening” system and within half an hour I was was in a ‘long’ trade – although it was stopped out almost immediately with a small 15 pip loss. Eighty minutes later I had my second trade and that worked out ok, coming in with a 35 pip profit – as I’ve mentioned before, this “evening” system has a strategy whereby a losing trade is cancelled out by the a larger profit on the subsequent trade, quite a unique occurrence I believe. So my evening trading came in at +20 pips, and my earlier EUR/USD trade gave me +33 pips by the time I came out just before my lunchtime.
So far this month my trading has given me 886 pips
Daily Target Reached ? YES (+53 pips) I traded for a few hours around midday and for nearly four hours this evening.
13:45 ~ I was up early this morning to do a quick supermarket run then out on my bike for a short ride up to Cap Blanc and back here (around 45kms round trip).
Once I had returned here at lunch time, I switched on my MT4 charts and to watch for any trade signals with two of my systems (trendFX/Any-Time Systems) I got into a ‘short’ GOLD trade around an hour ago, and at the moment it is still floating around break-even, so I will report back later to let you know how it gets on. I can also see a possible EUR/USD ‘short’ trade starting to form, so that maybe a possibility for later as well.
16:25pm ~ I’ve just both my earlier trades off as I am off now to help a friend get her car back from the Jaguar main dealer in Alicante. My GOLD trade ended ok with a profit of +120 pips and my EUR/USD trade that I eventually entered was not really going anywhere, so instead of setting a buy order to close the trade later (which I am not in the habit of doing as I prefer to trade manually) I just closed it off with a small profit of 15 pips.

19:35pm (CET) ~ Just arrived back from our long weekend in France, and as my broadband is behaving unreliably at the moment I’m not going to fire up any charts this evening.
10:15pm (CET) ~ I’ve had a relaxing day today with a busy evening of trading. I am staying with a friend (Tim) at his house in France and after a late breakfast we spent most of the day playing tennis while the WAGS were out shopping and sightseeing. We got back indoors just after 6pm and decided we would do a bit of trading using our respective strategies.
My first two trades kicked off just around 6:30pm – the one on Brent Oil started off ok and the price rose steadily but the S&P500 position was quickly stopped out with a small loss of 11 pips. My 3rd trade was on the S&P again and did ok when I came out a short while ago. That trade gave me +115 pips and my earlier Brent Oil trade gave me +101 pips. My overall total for the evening came out at +205 pips. Tim was just trading the AUD/USD forex pair and I believe he did ok but not sure what his exact score is so far, he’s leaving it to run overnight.
