8:30am ~ I’m going to be here in my study for a couple of hours doing emails and Skype calls – so I will also watch some charts to see if we can grab a few pips out of the market while I’m here. The usual markets I watch are not really doing much this morning but I will report back later with news of any trades I find.
11:05am ~ I have had just one trade so far this morning, it was a ‘long’ trade on my Brent Oil chart. I got into the trade a few moments after 9 o’clock and I managed a 47 pip profit. I’ve a few more emails to reply to plus 4 Skype calls and then I am off to George’s farm up the road to have some lunch and an afternoon of Clay Pigeon shooting. He is also a full-time trader, although he tends to only trade one or two days a week.
20:15pm ~ I got back here just before 5pm so I was in time to switch on my chart to watch for any trade set-ups with my “evening” system. In the end I had two trades, the first one just after 5 o’clock was stopped out at minus 19 pips, and the second one (which I’ve just come out of) also gave me a small loss of minus 11 pips. I am now due out for dinner at the Blue Lighthouse with friends so no more time any further trades.

08:25am ~ I’m going to have the morning here in my study catching up on emails plus a bit of trading as well. After lunch I am off to the cottage in Southwold for a few days before returning to Spain. I will report back later with news of any trades I might find.
09:30am ~ Well, I’m in my first trade of the morning, a ’short’ position on my Gold chart. The price has risen slightly so at the moment I am down by 10 pips or so.
14:35pm ~ I have stayed on trading for a bit longer than I originally planned as both trades I got into showed good signs of continuing profit. The first trade I entered which I described earlier (Gold) eventually gave me 214 pips when I came out a few minutes ago. The other trade I had was on Brent Oil and that ended at +187 pips when I came out of the position at 2:14pm. Both trades were from my trendFX collection of strategies.
As the sun is still shining, I’m off on my motorbike now to Suffolk for a few days.
21:00pm ~ I got up here at 6pm, and quite quickly stuck this laptop on just to see if there were any trade opportunities for this evening. There were actually quite a lot of set-ups that were showing so by 7:30pm I was in two trades and rejected one randomly as I was also going to cook supper for 4 friends so I did not want too much to concentrate on. I ended up getting two good results (and the one I did not take was also good)
My score tonight from the two trades were +62 pips (S&P500) and +105 pips (Gold trade)
Daily target Reached ? YES (+568 pips) I traded on and off for most of the day – but the result was worth it !
After finishing my trading last night with a profit of 94 pips, I’ve just had a tot-up for the month of April. Overall my trading has given me +2895 pips for a total of 17 trading days.
09:05am ~ I was just going to write that I got into a ‘long’ GOLD trade a few minutes ago and I will report back later with the result, but the price shot up so quickly that I’ve decided that a profit of over 100 pips will do me fine, so I’ve come out of the trade already. I sat down here in the study about 30 minutes ago to do some emails and Skype calls, and so I also started watching a few charts on my MT4 platform. Apart from this GOLD trade, nothing else is happening, so I’ll call it a day now trade-wise and get on with some admin work for a few hours. I’ll be off on a cycle ride when friends arrive around midday.
18:05pm ~ I got back here from my cycle ride 20 minutes ago andnow I’ve had a shower I am going to sit down for a few hours with my charts open to see if there’s any trade opportunities with my “evening” system. I will report back later with any details.
20:50pm ~ I had just one trade earlier this evening, it was a ‘long’ position on the S&P500 and it came out with a small loss of minus 11 pips. There’s been nothing else so far so I am going to call it a day now and wander upto The Plough for a late supper.

07:45am ~ An unusually early start for me on a Monday, I don’t usually do much today but I’ve got some ‘office’ work to get done early so I can get out and do some clay-pigeon shooting at 10 o’clock for the rest of the day. So – I’m in the study and just switched on my MT4 charts to watch for any trades over the next few hours while I answer emails and have some Skype calls with new traders.
09:30am ~ I had one trade earlier – on the S&P500 futures market. I got into the trade just after 8am using one of the trendFX strategies and as the price shot up fairly quickly I came out after 30 minutes with a small profit of 26 pips. As I teach my students, it’s a good idea to have a small daily target so that you’re not always striving for large trading profits – this helps with the psychology of trading and will get rid of the stress associated with fear and greed, the two enemies of new traders. As you may know, my daily target is just 20 pips and has been for the past twenty years, although if the markets allow me to take a larger profit from a trade, I will take advantage of this. Apart from this one trade I took, there was not much else happening with the collection of charts I usually watch, this often happens at the beginning of the week as the markets get going after the weekend break.
17:35pm ~ Just sat down here in the kitchen with a glass of wine after a day’s clay-pigeon shooting. I’ve decided to watch some charts this evening even though I’ve already had a successful trading session earlier on – so my MT4 charts are just coming on. I will report back later with any trades I might have.
21:10pm ~ I have just come out of my second trade of the evening, a short trade on the S&P500. I managed a profit of +25 pips and together with an earlier position on the same chart for 20 pips gives me a total of 45 pips this evening.
Daily Target Reached ? YES (+71 pips) I traded for a couple of hours this morning and just over three hours this evening.
7:30am ~ I have some emailing and general admin work to do for a few hours this morning, so I’ll watch my MT4 charts at the same time while I am here in the study.
10:40am ~ Friends have arrived and we are off on the train to London for some lunch and a wander around Covent Garden. We are then staying up there for the night and back here tomorrow afternoon. Around half an hour ago I came out of my only trade of the morning, a ‘short’ trade on the S&P using my beginner’s ”Extra” strategy from the trendFX collection. The price came down quite slow and steadily over the morning and I came away with a small 38 pip profit.
18:55pm ~ Just had a quick “Evening” trade with my “Trade With A Day Job” system while getting ready here in the hotel to go out for the evening - it was an easy set-up to spot (and trade) as it relies on a certain occurrence around 5pm on the S&P500. I came out with +22 pips

11:55am ~ I’ve just got back home from a cycle ride along the river path (16 miles there and back) and after a quick shower I’m going to sit down and watch my MT4 charts for a few hours before I have to go into town for some errands. If I have any trades, I’ll report back later.
15:10pm ~ I’ve just got into my second trade of the afternoon, I had an earlier position on my Gold chart – a ‘long’ trade that gave me +68 pips after around 30 minutes in the market. The trade I’ve just got into is on the S&P500, and the price so far is going up quite well, so I’m in a positive position at the moment. Doing some admin work and 3 Skype calls while watching the chart every so often.
19:15pm ~ In total I have had three trades today, two detailed above and I have just closed off my last trade – a “Trade With A Day Job” evening trade on the S&P500. My trade this afternoon on the S&P came out at +70 pips and this latest came out with a profit as well (+35 pips)
Daily Target Reached ? YES (+173 pips) I have traded since lunchtime – all in all around 7 hours, almost like a full days work !!
9:05am ~ I am helping a friend out today, moving two of his planes from Clacton to Stapleford Aerodrome, so there will not be any trading for me until this evening – I’ll sit down in front of a laptop later to see if I can find any trade set-ups.
7:10pm ~ I sat down about an hour ago here in the kitchen to watch my MT4 platform, and although I’ve not yet seen any “Trade With A Day Job” trade opportunities, I did enter a trendFX ‘Gold’ trade twenty minutes ago – and at the moment the price is going in the right direction, I am 25 pips ahead so far.
9:55pm ~ I ended up having just one trade this evening, which I mentioned earlier. The outcome on that Gold trade was a profit of +62 pips.

10:55am (CET) ~ A late start for all of us this morning after a very busy evening in town last night. We’re off out to lunch soon and then mid-afternoon we are flying back to the UK. No trading for us today.
17:40pm (16:40 UK time) ~ We’ve had a nice day out in the sun today, and I’m now back in the my room at the Westminster Hotel to do some trading before dinner this evening. A few minutes ago I entered a ‘long’ S&P500 trade using one of the strategies from my “Any-Time” system, and so far it is still hovering around break-even. I will report back later with an update.
20:50pm ~ As well as the trade I mentioned earlier, I also had another ‘long’ trade on the S&P500 using my “Trade With A Day Job” evening system, and I’ve just come out of both positions in readiness for an evening out in Le Touquet. My earlier “Any-Time” trade gave me +105 pips and the “Trade With A Day Job” position managed +50 pips. My fellow traders have had mixed results, some coming away with a small loss for the session, and Tim nearly matched my total – but not quite !!
