My Trading Day ~ Thursday 16th June 2011

I was up extremely early (5am) this morning, and left the cottage at 5:30am and did the journey to the flat here in Kensington in 2 hours dead (by motorbike NOT car) I’ve got a meeting later this morning to finalise a deal to sell both properties up here – before I’ve finished the renovations.

I got my laptop out as soon as I arrived, and just before 8 o’clock I started to see a potential trade forming on one of the trendFX collection of strategies. At exactly 8:00am I got into a short trade on the EUR/JPY forex pair, and 8 minutes later I was out with a profit of +39 pips. That’s me done for the morning session, and I’m now off to sort these properties out.   I will report back later, if I manage to get some ‘Evening’ trading in.

Update 11:00pm I switched on a laptop at 5pm and started to watch my chart for any trade signals with my “Trade With A Day Job” evening trading system. Just before 6pm I could see a lovely signal, and 5 minutes later I was in a ‘long’ trade. After 25 minutes of the price struggling to go in the direction I wanted it to, I was stopped out at minus 16 pips. I kept on watching the chart for any other signals, but by 8:30pm nothing had come up, so I called an end to the session and wandered off to the pub.  Drinks all round at 10 o’clock as I received a text from my solicitor to say the sale of both of the flats up here are confirmed and some cash has been exchanged.

Daily Target Reached ?   YES – Just About ! (+23 pips) I traded early morning plus the evening session
