A lazy day for a change, spent most of it sitting on the ‘Pine Walk’ on the beachfront (in Puerto Pollensa) watching the world go by, occasionally having a dip in the sea. Got back to the apartment at 4:30pm in readiness to do some trading after 5pm with my “Trade With A Day Job” evening trading system.

I was wary of the U.S. Federal Reserve announcement around 5:30pm of the interest rate for the coming month – this announcement usually moves the markets quite a bit, so I stayed out of any trades and just watched the chart - and not long after the rate was announced I had a short trade siignal. I took the trade, but it was stopped out soon after (minus 16 pips).  A 2nd trade signal came up just after 6:30pm and a few minutes later I was in a LONG trade. This too was stopped out (minus 14 pips) and at 7:30pm what turned out to be my last trade was signaled – and 5 minutes after I was in another long trade. Just before 9 o’clock I came out of the market with a profit of +68 pips, so I ended the evening session with a total score of +38 pips – very happy with that.

It’s now 9:15pm and we are all off for a barbeque on the beach now……
