my trading day ~ friday 19th november 2010

As usual, no trading for me on a Friday, although later in the day a funny turn of events had me in front of a trading screen watching for a trade with my “Trade With A Day Job” evening system.

I was chatting to my gardener (Ted) this afternoon, and it transpired that he had a long held desire to trade part-time. He was reluctant to share this ambition with me as he was worried he would make a complete tit of himself, as he believed at 79 yrs old, he was too old to learn ‘new tricks’

I sat down with him at 4pm with the trading manual and ran through it very quickly, just showing him the important bits and then at 5pm we sat down together with 2 laptops in my kitchen and began the search for the 2 signals that you need to show a potential trade with my strategy. The first signal for a trade for the evening came along at 5:30 and Ted spotted it straight away – I was over the moon, although not as much as he was. ( I think he may have had to change certain parts of his under-garments)  He entered the trade using one of my trading accounts, and staked £5 per pip (my suggestion). The trade turned out successful and he came away with +35 pips (£175) and I paid out his winnings in cash. By the way – I had the same trade – although at much higher stakes obviously.

He seems bitten by the bug now, and is going to study further. He loves running his business as a gardener, so is just going to concentrate on trading in the evening. I will keep you informed of his progress over the coming months. He has also said that he is happy to answer any questions from any of you who are in the same position as he is – a complete novice who is worried that they will make a complete hash of things if they attempt to learn to trade. If you would like to ask any questions, just email me and I will pass them on, and he said he will reply personally.

Anyway – I hope you all have a nice, relaxing weekend.
