my trading day ~ friday 15th january ’10

Back to ‘work’ after my day-off and I was ready in front of my screens at just after 8am – after a commute to work of just about ONE minute.

I am trading my “Any-Time” system and the first trade signal was at 8:30am (EUR/USD) and that gave me an opening profit of +16 pips after an hour or so. Just before that trade hit its target another trade came along (8:50am) on the EUR/YEN forex pair. That trade came in as a loser when it was stopped out at -40 pips. An hour went by and the next trade was on the EUR/USD again and that came in at +12 pips. Another EUR/YEN trade happened at 11:30 and my profit total was increased by +30 pips on that trade.

I broke for lunch just after midday and was back at my desk just before 2pm when I had my 5th trade (GBP/USD) and managed +30 pips when it hit its target. Another 2 trades completed my day’s trading, and I packed up for a long weekend break just after 3pm. My total earning for the day came in at +135 pips. A nice total for my short working day.

As I had finished for the day, I did not trade my “Evening System” but having a look at the charts later – it managed its usual trade profit of +20 pips.

Don’t forget next Monday (18th Jan.) is a Bank Holiday in the U.S. – Martin Luther King day – so no trading for me until Tuesday. The markets tend to wander about aimlessly when the yanks are on holiday, so it’s much better to protect the money in your trading account and just have a day off.
