My Trading Day ~ Thurs 30th July

Good morning to you all. Glad to be back from my extended holiday, and enjoying my time in front of the screens once again.

Yesterday was my first full day trading both my ‘Any-Time’  and ‘Trade With a Day Job’ systems, and they both provided me with a decent profit by the end of the day. The ‘Any-Time’ strategy had 9 trades in total (3 losers & 6 profitable) with a total of 51 points,  and my evening only system gave me the usual 20 pips shortly after I started at 5pm.

The markets in Europe are continuing their rise upwards, posting 8 month highs due to a raft of positive corporate earnings announcements. One of the reasons, I believe, is that when the recession started to bite late in the last quarter of 2008, many large companies started looking at their operating costs and started to reduce expenses where they could, and this is now impacting on their bottom line profits.

If you are readying yourself for an annual get-away to sunnier climes – please read this article regarding strange local laws that you may unwittingly fall foul of, and as a consequence, may spend the last days of your holiday in a foreign jail.
